Elu Wellness is looking for Bodyworkers to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for massage therapy students who want to develop their practical skills, gain valuable clinic experience, and become more comfortable working with clients while completing their RMT education.

Job Summary

Position Responsibilities

As a Bodyworker at Elu Wellness, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide professional non-registered relaxation and bodywork services within your education, training, and permitted scope.
  • Discuss each client’s goals, areas of concern, comfort level, and relevant information before beginning a session.
  • Provide safe and client-focused bodywork treatments.
  • Communicate clearly with clients throughout their appointments and adjust pressure or techniques according to client comfort and feedback.
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and protect client privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate client information and treatment documentation as required by clinic procedures.
  • Use JaneApp for scheduling and other applicable clinic functions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment room.
  • Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, linen, and infection-control procedures.
  • Prepare the treatment room before appointments and ensure it is ready for the next client.
  • Communicate professionally with reception, management, RMTs, and other members of the Elu Wellness team.
  • Arrive on time and maintain a reliable schedule.
  • Follow all Elu Wellness policies, procedures, and professional standards.
  • Clearly represent yourself to clients as a Bodyworker and not a Registered Massage Therapist.
  • Refer clients to an RMT or another regulated healthcare professional when their needs are outside the Bodyworker’s training or scope.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities at Elu Wellness – Bodyworker

  • Provide professional, safe, and client-focused bodywork treatments.
  • Discuss each client’s needs, areas of concern, preferred pressure, and treatment goals before each session.
  • Perform bodywork techniques within your education, training, and permitted scope.
  • Communicate with clients throughout treatments to ensure their comfort.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and protect client privacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client notes and records using JaneApp, where required.
  • Prepare treatment rooms before each appointment.
  • Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, sanitized, and ready for the next client.
  • Follow proper hygiene, sanitation, and clinic safety procedures.
  • Change linens and place used linens in the appropriate laundry area after treatments.
  • Arrive on time and maintain a reliable work schedule.
  • Communicate professionally with reception staff, management, RMTs, and other practitioners.
  • Follow Elu Wellness policies and clinic procedures.
  • Provide clients with a friendly, professional, and welcoming experience.
  • Clearly identify yourself as a Bodyworker and not a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
  • Avoid diagnosing medical conditions or providing services outside your scope.
  • Refer clients to an RMT or other regulated healthcare professional when their needs are outside your training or scope.
  • Work cooperatively with the Elu Wellness team to maintain a professional and positive clinic environment.
  • Notify reception or management promptly regarding scheduling issues, client concerns, incidents, or other matters requiring assistance.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism that reflects the reputation and service standards of Elu Wellness.
