The Term 4 curriculum concludes with a certification exam preparatory program, including comprehensive mock licensing exams.
The two exams are as follows:
1. MCQ – Multiple Choice Questions
Designed to evaluate the candidate’s knowledge in the three competency areas of health sciences, professional development and clinical science.
2. OSCE – Objectively Structured Clinical Evaluation
Designed to evaluate both the student’s knowledge and application of skill, and to test the ability to safely and effectively apply the principles and processes of Massage Therapy practice given a different number of clinical scenarios.
These exams are available every time our students successfully complete our Massage Therapy Diploma program of study. They refresh and strengthen our graduates knowledge of entry to practice competencies which are tested on the CMTO certification exams.
Our students say that the mock exams that we prepare are more difficult than the actual exams. Our graduates are therefore prepared to confidently sit and successfully complete the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario’s certification exams for entry to practice as a Registered Massage Therapist.
