CCMH Gives Back

CCMH Gives Back

give back Leading up to the event, how did you feel?

I was very excited about CCMH Gives Back. CCMH Gives Back is an event where we offer massages at special rates to fundraise for charities, and it is a day of fun and learning. We were all honoured to be able to participate. The students and faculty were all enthusiastic, and immediately offered to help. We were fully booked the day of the event, so we were elated! We surpassed our fundraising goal. It felt great!

What was the goal?

Our goal was to raise $1500 with all of the money raised going to two charities, Daily Bread Food Bank and a Junior League Sports Team. We surpassed our goal! Each charity received $767.35! It was such a success, I hope we will have the opportunity to do it again.

give back day 3What took place over the course of this special day?

We provided Massages during the day and enjoyed welcoming new people to our clinic. After the massages, all of the students who volunteered had their names entered into a raffle with 2 Prize Gift Baskets. CCMH Students Thais F. and Cassandra T. won a full-size Massage Table Warmer and a gift basket respectively. One of our clinic patients, Wayne C., won a gift basket too! It was a lot of fun. The students appreciated the opportunity to practice their massage skills and build their confidence. I can’t wait to be a part of another CCMH Gives Back event!
