The course is held once per week, 3 hours per week, for 6 consecutive weeks, beginning July 7th and finishing August 11th.
The ProComm course is designed to introduce students to the fundamental skills of communication and interpersonal relationship skills which will be required of individuals as regulated health care professionals. Topics covered in the course include active listening, non-verbal communication, assertive communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Preference will be given to candidates with a credential related to the course content, and/or a minimum of 2 years experience in a related teaching field. RMT registration is also an asset, but not required for the position.
