Job Description

WCCMT Victoria is recruiting a Clinic Manager to manage, design, implement and maintain in good order various systems for the effective operation of the clinical practicum education services of the College.  We offer a collaborative working environment, flexible schedule, and competitive compensation.

Anticipated Start Date: 22 April 2024

Role
Manage, design, implement and maintain in good order various systems for the effective operation of the clinical practicum education services of the College, delegating tasks as required to the Administrative Assistant.

Tasks
The responsibilities of the Clinic Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Organize, coordinate, supervise, develop, and generally take care of the College’s clinical practicum programs and facilities.
  • Assist practicum instructors and students to apply their theoretical knowledge to the practice of massage therapy and work towards integration of the educational program as a whole, in conjunction with the Executive Director, Senior Educational Administrator.
  • Recruit, on board and train clinical practicum instructional staff, in cooperation with other management staff involved in staff training programs.
  • Provide direction, orientation, supervision, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination of practicum instructors in implementing student procedures and protocols in practicum settings and carry out performance reviews for all practicum instructional staff.
  • set specific office hours for the purpose of allowing intern students access to clarify problems or resolve needs related to the practicum education program.
  • Develop Field Practicum sites/locations and establish relationships with groups for inreach opportunities.
  • Representation on behalf of the College, in the community and to other professional groups as the occasion arise, in the best interest of the employer.
  • Oversee Jane charting for Victoria clinics

Assist in the production and maintenance of a cooperative working environment in the clinic practicum program.

Qualifications:
Active Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the CMTBC or a post-secondary degree in a healthcare-related subject area

  • Ability to problem solve and deal with conflict resolution
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially, Excel, Word and Teams.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively administer students, instructors, and patients with a high degree of competence and professionalism

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week. Monday to Friday, weekends as needed.
