This position is directly responsible for working cooperatively with the Education Department and carrying out responsibilities which ensure the successful operations of Clinical Practicum in accordance to the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario guidelines.
The Clinic and Outreach Coordinator will work closely with students, clinic and outreach supervisors, administrative staff and our community partners to provide a dynamic program with efficiency in operations. The individual for this role will have a people driven personality with a combination of key strengths in communications, planning, office technology and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment providing high quality results.
Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Student Internship Program, facilitating successful operations
Handle clinic client questions, concerns and complaints and address as required
Coordinate and distribute student clinic schedules
Ensure compliance with Clinic Policies and Procedures
Review and respond to student inquiries regarding treatment plans and Clinical Practicum
Ensure student self-assessment forms are completed each term
Ensure student hours for clinic and outreach are recorded in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure copies of clinic forms are updated and available as needed
Oversee marketing materials such as program manuals and signage, as well as create promotional materials for Student Intern Clinic
Oversee clinic and outreach revenue and financial spreadsheets
Oversee clinic reception
Maintain and develop the Clinic Outreach & Placement Practicum
Assist with the hiring and training of Clinic and Outreach Supervisors
Create and monitor Clinic and Outreach Supervisors schedules
Conduct regular meetings with Clinic and Outreach Supervisors to review clinic issues, concerns, changes etc.
Evaluate and provide feedback/direction to Clinic and Outreach Supervisors.
Other duties as requested by Director of Education
The Clinic & Outreach Coordinator will have a minimum of 1-3 years previous coordinator/clinic management experience
Knowledge/experience in Massage Therapy is an asset
Post-secondary diploma in office administration or related field
Outreach and community engagement / project management skills an asset
Experience working with volunteers and community partners
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact while respecting student and patient confidentiality
Exceptional organizational, multitasking and problem solving abilities
Works well under pressure and demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing time sensitive tasks
