Bio:
Robert is a Registered Massage Therapist who has been practicing since 1994. He teaches Ligamentous Articular Strain Techniques across Canada and Online and is the creator of the Ligament Pain Referral Pattern posters. Robert’s articles have been published in the Journal of Prolotherapy, Massage Therapy Canada and Massage Matters Magazines. From 2001-2008, he taught Orthopedic and Neurological Assessment at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy.
Course Description:
If you are looking to change your perception on posture, if you are looking to change how you communicate with your patients, if you are looking for the most up to date research based information pertaining to posture, then this is the course for you!
Together, we’ll discuss the Biopsycholosocial model and challenge some preconceived perceptions pertaining to posture.
Not only will you walk away thinking and communicating differently about posture, but you will learn to recognize when and when not to focus on modifying a patients posture. You’ll also enhance your skills by learning strategic mechanoreceptor specific manual therapy techniques intent on modifying habitual positions by targeting the nervous system.
Lets start cultivating body awareness and improving functional positioning in our patients.
Come to the course wearing comfortable clothing. These techniques are considered “clothes on” techniques. Tank tops and shorts are appropriate.
Be prepared to have multiple techniques applied to the anterior neck, chest and abdomen.
Please bring any sheets or draping material you need to feel comfortable while receiving treatment.

- Instruction of precise, specific and easy to understand and preform techniques to incorporate into you practice immediately.
