 We are pleased to announce WCCMT’s new Grad Tutor Program
logo_wccmt_220If you are a WCCMT grad and have considered or are considering a potential career as an instructor at WCCMT, we invite you to apply to be a part of our Grad Tutor Program.

What does our Grad Tutor Program involve?

  • Grad Tutors are graduates who devote a minimum of one hour per week to come into the College and tutor or hold a tutorial session with the group the students largely in term 1 & 2 and primarily in the areas of Anatomy and Physiology, MSAK Lab and Clinical Assessment.
  • The Grad Tutor program begins at 4 PM in the afternoon and can involve one or two hours of instruction as per our grads availability and interest.

What are the benefits of becoming a WCCMT Grad Tutor?

  • Grad Tutors have access to WCCMT’s online Instructor Development Program and the opportunity to participate in this program free of charge and obtain valuable instructional training as well as CEU credits
  • Grad Tutors will be given first priority in terms of any teaching opportunities either as teaching assistants or primary instructors once the grad tutor has met his/her 2500 hours of required clinical training posed by the CMTBC in order to be eligible to become an instructor at WCCMT.
  • Grad Tutors have access to our student internship clinic free of charge.
  • Most important of all Grad Tutors have the opportunity to make a difference for their future colleagues by utilizing their knowledge and skills to support new students in the earliest terms of the program deal with some of the most difficult subjects and build their knowledge and confidence
  • Grad Tutors will also be our primary candidates for WCCMT’s coveted leadership award
