WCCMT enjoyed a first ever Pajama Day celebration bringing together students and staff to spend a day together learning, laughing and lounging over hot chocolate and popcorn as the autumn transitions into winter, and exam season.
The goal behind our first Pajama Day was to foster a fun environment for students and staff, while focusing on building relationships, boosting morale and having a good time all together.
One of our most memorable moments from this year’s event was seeing everyone dressed in their colourful PJs ranging from ‘Onesies’ to ‘neck-to-toe’ styles. Getting everyone together for group photos was certainly a blast! This year, the idea came to light while we were in a meeting discussing “casual jeans day” and Debbie, our clinic receptionist suggested that we all come in our pajamas one day! Looking forward to future events like this, we think WCCMT will continue to celebrate Pajama Day. “It was for fun and I think we would definitely do it again next year, we might change it up a bit – prizes for the class who has the most people dressed up, or we could definitely add a charity aspect. Next year, maybe we’ll do blankets for the homeless or something along those lines,” says Liz Burdeny of our WCCMT Admissions department while Debbie adds “I think everyone who participated had a good time and lots of fun. Definitely, we should do this every year. I think Liz’s idea of doing something for charity, like blankets, socks, etc. would be wonderful.”
