Thompson Rivers University – Open Learning (TRU-OL) has taken a lead role in Canada in recognizing professional programs like Massage Therapy.  Since 2006 TRU has had a successful articulation with West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, B.C., allowing dozens of students to continue their formal education and obtain a Bachelor of Health Science.  Similar partnerships exist with the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy (Vernon, B.C.), Utopia Academy (Vancouver, B.C.), and CCMH, Halifax, N.S.

The degree completion opportunity through TRU-OL offers WCCMT graduates of the Massage Therapy 2423hr program, the opportunity to use maximum credit for the pre-assessed program in a streamlined process.

The following is the current transfer credit opportunity available to WCCMT students.

Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL) is the Division of Thompson Rivers University (TRU) that specializes in providing mature learners with flexible learning options, open access to education wherever possible and a wide variety of course and program choices, meeting the needs of its own students and helping other institutions and organizations meet the open and online learning needs of their communities.  For more information about TRU and TRU-OL, please visit www.tru.ca/about.html and www.tru.ca/distance/about.html.
