RMTs and Entrepreneurship

One of the many recognized perks of being a Registered Massage Therapist is freedom. Alexandra Denvir figured that out when she discovered her passion for massage. She, along with many others, love the flexibility to travel, and the ability to “be your own boss”.

As an RMT, you’re free to practice around the world, teach in a classroom, practice with a team, or even work for yourself. Many see this as an opportunity to try something new: entrepreneurship.

Having the choice to be your own boss means working independently as a Massage Therapist. As an entrepreneur, you’ll be making your own schedule, setting your own goals, and getting your own clients.

Liz Arcus, a current student, is already ahead of the game. Even before starting her journey at CCMH, she was already practicing Thai Massage for years as a holistic practitioner. Her passion for helping people and seeing the amazing results of massage kept her in the field.

Before becoming an entrepreneur, it’s important to be captivated and passionate. Liz felt it was important for her to be immersed in Thai culture so she visited Thailand and gained a wealth of knowledge about how vital massage is as a pillar of health.

Liz started a traditional Thai Massage studio in downtown Toronto. With the demand for Thai Massage so high and her business doing well, she is now enrolled at CCMH to become a registered therapist.
