About Massage Therapy

About Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is one of the oldest forms of healing known to humankind. Many cultures, including ancient Roman, Greek, Egyptian, Chinese and Swedish, used massage to maintain health and as a restorative practice.

In Canada today, Registered Massage Therapists are regulated healthcare practitioners. They use their scientific knowledge and skills in treating soft tissue conditions to help patients manage acute and chronic health conditions, support rehabilitation, and treat sports injuries.

Massage Therapy also plays a key role in preventative medicine by supporting patients dealing with the stresses of daily life to maintain their health and well-being.
