Joseph Khouzam

Joseph Khouzam

We love to follow our alum through all steps in their journey! We previously spoke to Joseph Khouzam about his student life while attending CCMH, and what had driven him towards Massage Therapy. This time around, we’ve had the pleasure of being updated about his career as an RMT and his headspace now!

“I enjoy being an RMT, I have deep pride in being a healthcare practitioner. I like the fact that I can alleviate sore and fatigued tissues and ultimately make a difference in a person’s life.”

Finding employment after graduation can vary for everyone, but Joseph had a good transition from school to work thanks to a support network. “Thanks to my childhood best friend who’s a Chiropractor and an AM640 radio personality, Dr. Lou (Luigi Nalli), it was fairly easy for me to find work upon getting my registration number.”

Since April 2014, Joseph has been working at Humber Family Chiropractic, Rehabilitation & Wellness where he’s able to help those in need. “It has become my second home and I enjoy spending my days there working with incredible associates and patients alike. I’ve developed and progressed as a therapist!”

Outside of the clinic, Joseph tries to find ways for people to find the care that they need, especially with chronic pain. “I have recently become Vice President of Integrated Health for Pain Care Canada. Pain Care Canada is a network of healthcare professionals and clinics that Dr. Lou has assembled with one goal in mind, the best in pain care!”

Although Joseph is busy inside and outside of the clinic, he’s been able to manage his time well. “One of the perks of being self employed is being in control of my own schedule. I’ve been able to do some travelling across Canada and maintain an active lifestyle, which has led to a healthy work-life balance.”

Knowing what Joseph knows now, he’s glad to have started his Massage Therapy journey with us at CCMH.

“If I did the program again, I wouldn’t change a thing. I completely enjoyed my time at CCMH from the way the instructors presented material to the number of life-long friends I’ve made there.”

Thank you for giving us the update, Joseph! We love hearing from all of our alumni, no matter where they are in their lives.
