FAQs

What are the start dates?
At CCMH Halifax new massage therapy courses start every Spring and Fall. For a specific breakdown of school terms and break periods return to the calendar section.

Is financial assistance available?
The Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy offers a program of study which is registered under the Private Career Training Colleges Act, therefore financial assistance may be available to eligible students. To apply for student aid, go to www.canlearn.ca.

What is the cost of tuition?
The cost of completing the MT training program is $17,400.00 plus books and supplies.

Do you have campus tours?
Yes. Tours of the Halifax campus can be booked by appointment by contacting Admissions at 902-484-0158 or e-mail: halifax@collegeofmassage.com. We also offer “Student for a Day” programs for prospective students wanting to explore a career in massage therapy. High school students can arrange job-shadowing by having their school councillor contact CCMH admissions.

Is there a charge for the Student for a Day?
No, this program is free and so are our monthly Admission Information Sessions and bi-annual Open Houses.  These are available to students investigating a career in massage therapy who wish to experience first-hand what CCMH has to offer.

What are your prerequisites for admission into your massage therapy diploma program?
Applicants must have a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.  Applicants are required to have successfully completed the Introduction to Massage weekend course.  It is highly recommended that all prospective students complete the Medical Terminology & Body Systems free online course to prepare for the program. Please see the Registration for Introduction Courses form under the admissions tab for more information on both of these, including dates.

How can I determine if a course I have taken elsewhere will meet the prerequisite requirements at CCMH?
If you are uncertain whether your course meets CCMH requirements, please provide us with a copy of your transcripts and a description (course outline including course hours) of the course or courses for which you are seeking equivalency. If necessary we will conduct a prior learning assessment to determine which courses may be transferable. There is a fee for this service.
