Our massage therapy courses build a strong understanding of the human body through competency based instruction; including over 300 hours of practical clinical training.
Our graduates are the most fully prepared grads of massage therapy schools in Ontario having attained the knowledge, skill and ability necessary to be successful in medical and healthcare facilities, sports and wellness centres, spas, resorts, clinics and self-employment.
We put learning into practice through over 250 hours of hands-on care in our on-site public clinics, as well as a minimum of 30 hours of outreach clinical practicum and 32 hours in a hospital placement.
Our small class sizes allow for personal attention and easy access to educational resources. In our practical classes the ratio is 12 maximum students per instructor. We have RMTs, chiropractors, physiotherapists, medical doctors and PHD’s on staff each working here part time and in their own clinics part time.
Delivering great massage therapy classes requires great instructor. CCMH hand picks our faculty with experienced massage therapists who willingly pass on their dedication and expertise to our students. All our instructors are highly credentialed.
The best test of our program is the success our students have in completing provincial board exams. CCMH students have been continuously awarded top marks at the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) registration exams.
CCMH, along with our sister school, West Coast College of Massage Therapy, is the only school of its kind having a National footprint, with campuses in Ontario, Nova Scotia, and British Columbia.
Our diploma is recognized by the College of Massage Therapists’ of Ontario (CMTO) and provincial associations across Canada. Our College is registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education’s Private Career Colleges Division. As of April 1, 2009 graduates who have passed regulated exams from legislated provinces are not able to work coast to coast, including BC, without upgrading. For more information please refer to the AIT.
We at CCMH provide our students with three different starting options each year enabling you to commence your new career at a time best suited for you; January, May and September.
CCMH’s Jobs Board assists our students and graduates with available employment opportunities. We also provide information on job search techniques as well as answering other post-graduate concerns. For those interested in working at spas. We have global relationships with well known resorts.
